so i used to feel kinda bad about having these insights during church. i felt like i wasn't thinking about the topic on hand. but, the thing is, if i am a writer, then i'm just applying the teaching to my work. is there a better inspiration for your writing than truth?
so the title is plural, but i'm not sure i have another insight. maybe that was two already.
we're doing well. herman got groomed after camping and now he is very soft again. if you don't believe me, you'll just have to come visit. it's worth it. we went up to simi valley yesterday. a friend just moved up there, so we visited, bearing bars and dog treats. we went to the teaching zoo there--she's entering the animal science program with hopes of entering the animal handling program. it was pretty cool. we also got to meet maverick, her new dog. she found him on the side of the road on her trek out here from sioux falls. and he is quite the find. i'm not sure how well he and herman got along, but they seemed to have a good time.
our shelf above my computer fell. all the things on it fell too, coincidently... it was scary, to hear such a crash from the other room in a slightly wakened state. good thing no person or animal was sitting near it when it happened.
welp, good day to you.

if you want to get all kierkegaardian about it:
temptation > fulfillment > disenchantment > despair > god
and in my experience, that's true.
